Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel

House Rules of the Property

At Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel, we want every guest to enjoy a pleasant stay in a calm, clean, friendly and welcoming environment.

These rules have one simple purpose: to allow everyone to enjoy the property in the best possible conditions, while respecting other guests, safety, hygiene, equipment and the general atmosphere of the place.

They are not here to restrict you, but to ensure that everyone’s stay takes place in harmony and that every guest feels comfortable.

Thank you all for respecting them with common sense and kindness.

1. Access to the Property and External Visitors

The property is reserved for guests who have booked a stay at Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel.

For reasons of safety, insurance, comfort and organisation, it is forbidden to invite external visitors without prior approval from the owner.

If you wish to receive visitors for the day, this must be requested in advance.

External visitors may be accepted only:

  • upon request;
  • subject to availability;
  • after approval from the owner.

A day visitor package may be offered:
€60 for up to 4 external visitors, only upon request and after approval from the owner.

This rule helps preserve the peace of the property, the safety of the site and the comfort of guests who have booked.

2. Swimming Pool Area

The swimming pool is a shared relaxation area. It must therefore remain clean, calm, pleasant and safe for everyone.

The swimming pool is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A night-time opening may exceptionally be offered, depending on the number of guests, the owner’s availability, the weather and the conditions at the time.
This night-time opening is therefore not systematic and remains at the owner’s discretion.

For reasons of safety, hygiene, pool water maintenance and respect for other guests, the following rules are mandatory.

Diving is forbidden.

Jumping into the pool is forbidden.

Running around the pool is forbidden.

Pushing someone into the water is forbidden.

Bringing glass or any breakable object around the pool is forbidden.

It is mandatory to take a shower before entering the water.

Showering before swimming is essential. It helps preserve water quality, reduce the use of treatment products such as chlorine, and keep the pool pleasant for everyone.

Please also avoid splashing or spreading water unnecessarily around the pool. This helps preserve the comfort of other guests, prevent slipping risks, limit water waste and make pool maintenance easier.

Children remain under the sole responsibility of their parents or accompanying adults.

Please avoid shouting, screaming, overly noisy games or any behaviour that may disturb others around the pool, so that this area remains pleasant for everyone.

For everyone’s comfort, it is also forbidden to play your own music through a speaker, phone or any other sound device around the pool.

Music may be provided by the property, especially around the bar or shared areas. Personal music may of course be listened to with headphones or earphones, provided that it does not disturb other guests.

The swimming pool area must remain a shared place of relaxation, rest and friendliness.

3. Bar, Drinks and Opening Hours

The bar at Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel offers drinks, coffee, soft drinks, beers, ice creams, sharing boards and other services depending on the season.

The bar closes at 8:00 p.m.

Please do not serve yourself. Kindly ask the owner or the person in charge of service.

Drinks and items ordered at the bar must be paid for on site or according to the payment terms indicated.

The bar is a friendly space, but it must remain pleasant for everyone. Please respect the atmosphere of the place, the peace of the property and other guests.

Music may be played at the bar. For everyone’s comfort, guests are not allowed to play their own music through a speaker, phone or any other sound device. Personal listening is possible with headphones or earphones.

4. Alcohol in Shared Areas

For reasons of safety, regulations and proper management of the property, it is forbidden to bring and consume your own alcohol in the shared areas.

This includes, in particular:

  • the swimming pool area;
  • the bar;
  • shared outdoor areas;
  • all shared spaces of the property.

Alcoholic drinks consumed in shared areas must be served by the bar at Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel.

This rule allows us to comply with the regulations relating to the sale of alcoholic drinks, maintain a controlled and pleasant atmosphere, and avoid any excess.

Of course, alcohol consumption remains allowed:

  • inside your gîte;
  • on your private terrace;
  • while respecting the neighbours and other guests.

Any excessive, noisy, disrespectful or dangerous behaviour may lead to intervention by the owner and, in the event of repeated non-compliance, exclusion from the property without refund.

5. Shared Areas

The shared areas are used by all guests. They must remain pleasant, clean, calm and accessible to everyone.

Please respect:

  • the calm atmosphere of the property;
  • other guests;
  • children present on site;
  • the equipment provided;
  • outdoor furniture;
  • the cleanliness of the premises;
  • the general atmosphere of the property.

Guests are asked to leave shared areas clean after use, dispose of waste in the designated bins and not move furniture without permission.

For everyone’s comfort, it is forbidden to play your own music through a speaker, phone or any other sound device in the shared areas.

Music may be provided at the bar or in some shared areas in order to create a friendly and harmonious atmosphere.

Personal music may be listened to with headphones or earphones, provided that it does not disturb other guests.

This rule helps avoid noise nuisance, respect everyone’s tastes and preserve a pleasant atmosphere for all.

Personal speakers, loud music or noise nuisance are therefore not allowed in shared areas, unless exceptional permission has been granted by the owner.

Exceptional Corkage Fee

As a general rule, it is forbidden to bring and consume your own alcohol in the shared areas of the property.

However, an exception may be granted by the owner, only upon prior request and depending on the circumstances.

In this case, a corkage fee may be applied to bottles brought by guests and consumed in the shared areas.

This possibility remains exceptional and must be approved before consumption. It allows the owner to know which drinks are present on the property, maintain control over service, comply with the regulatory framework for serving alcohol and preserve a pleasant atmosphere for everyone.

Indicative fee: €10 per bottle, only after approval from the owner.

Spirits and strong alcohol are not allowed under this arrangement.

The owner reserves the right to refuse any consumption of external alcohol in shared areas, particularly in the event of high occupancy, risk of nuisance, non-compliance with the rules, or for any reason related to the safety and comfort of other guests.

6. Quiet Hours, Evenings and Parties

Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel is a place for rest, friendliness and relaxation.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

During this period, please pay particular attention to:

  • outdoor conversations;
  • people coming and going;
  • doors slamming;
  • music;
  • children playing outside;
  • noise on terraces;
  • movement in shared areas.

Noisy evenings, unauthorised parties, significant noise nuisance or behaviour that disturbs other guests are not allowed.

Parties, private events or special evenings are possible only as part of a private booking approved in advance by the owner.

Without prior approval, no party or noisy evening may be organised on the property.

This rule allows everyone to enjoy the property in their own way: resting, spending time with family, enjoying the bar or simply having a peaceful countryside stay.

7. Inside the Gîtes

Each gîte is carefully prepared before your arrival. We ask you to respect it and leave it in a proper condition when you depart.

Before leaving the gîte, please:

  • wash the dishes;
  • dry the dishes;
  • put the dishes back in their place;
  • empty the bins according to the instructions provided;
  • leave equipment and furniture in place;
  • report any breakage or problem noticed during your stay.

The dishes and cutlery of each gîte must remain in that specific gîte.

It is therefore forbidden to take plates, glasses, cutlery, pans, utensils or equipment from one gîte and move them to another.

Each gîte has the necessary equipment for its guest capacity.

If you wish to organise a meal involving several gîtes, please bring your own additional tableware or ask the owner whether occasional assistance is possible.

This rule is important for our organisation, so that each gîte remains complete, functional and ready for the next guests.

8. Departure, Cleaning and Condition on Leaving

The gîte must be left in a proper condition at the time of departure.

Not taking a cleaning package obviously does not mean that the gîte may be left in poor condition.

Even when cleaning is planned after your departure, we ask that the accommodation be left respectfully, without excessive dirt, abandoned rubbish, dirty dishes, food left everywhere or abnormal disorder.

End-of-stay cleaning does not include:

  • unwashed dishes;
  • rubbish left inside the gîte;
  • excessive dirt;
  • damage;
  • furniture moved and not put back;
  • an abnormally dirty general condition.

If exceptional cleaning is required, an additional charge may be applied.

9. Breakage, Damage and Deposit

Please report any breakage, fault, damage or issue noticed during your stay as soon as possible.

Accidents can happen, but it is important to inform us so that we can repair or replace what is needed.

Any unreported breakage, significant damage, missing equipment or necessary repair may be charged after departure, particularly through the deposit when applicable.

This rule simply helps us keep the gîtes in good condition and guarantee a quality welcome for future guests.

10. Cleanliness and Respect for Equipment

The equipment provided must be used normally and with care.

It is forbidden to take outside any equipment that must remain inside the gîte, including:

  • pillows;
  • blankets;
  • bed linen;
  • dishes;
  • small appliances;
  • indoor furniture.

The towels provided must not be used for the swimming pool or outdoors.

Please bring your own pool towels.

11. Smoking and Safety

Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the accommodation.

Smoking is allowed only on the private terraces of the gîtes, provided that you ask the owner for an ashtray.

It is forbidden to throw cigarette ends on the ground, in green areas, in flower pots, around the pool, on terraces or in indoor bins.

In some outdoor shared areas, smoking may be exceptionally allowed, only upon request to the owner, provided that no other guest is disturbed and that an ashtray is provided.

Without prior approval or without an ashtray provided, smoking is forbidden in shared areas.

This rule helps preserve the cleanliness of the property, the comfort of other guests, fire safety and the quality of welcome for future guests.

12. Waste and Recycling

Please place your waste in the designated bins and follow the recycling instructions provided on site.

No waste should be left in shared areas, around the pool, on terraces or outdoors.

Everyone helps keep the property clean, pleasant and welcoming. The waste containers are located to the left of the gate.

13. Barbecue and Outdoor Equipment

Barbecues and outdoor equipment must be used only in authorised areas and with care.

Please do not move equipment without permission and leave it clean after use.

For safety reasons, barbecues must never be used immediately next to flammable materials, sensitive terraces, furniture or areas not intended for this purpose.

14. Parking

Vehicles must be parked only in the designated areas.

Please do not block:

  • access points;
  • traffic lanes;
  • gîte entrances;
  • technical areas;
  • passages needed by other guests;
  • access needed by the owner or emergency services.

The area near the electric vehicle charging station is reserved for electric vehicles while charging.

Please do not park in front of or on this space if you are not using the charging station.

Traffic on the property must be slow and careful, especially when children are present.

15. Children and Responsibility

Children are welcome at Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel.

However, they remain under the permanent responsibility of their parents or accompanying adults, especially in the following areas:

  • swimming pool;
  • play area;
  • bar;
  • outdoor areas;
  • parking areas;
  • stairs;
  • terraces.

Please ensure that they respect other guests, equipment, safety rules and the peace of the property.

16. Pets

Pets are accepted only under the conditions specified at the time of booking.

They remain under the responsibility of their owners.

They must not disturb other guests, be left alone if they are likely to bark or cause damage, or roam freely without supervision.

Pet waste must be picked up immediately.

Pets are not allowed in the swimming pool area.

17. Respect for the Neighbourhood and the Spirit of the Place

Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel is designed as a place for rest, sharing, friendliness and relaxation.

We therefore ask everyone to behave respectfully, simply and responsibly.

The aim is for everyone to fully enjoy the property:

  • those who wish to rest;
  • those who come with family;
  • those who enjoy the swimming pool;
  • those who share a moment at the bar;
  • those who are simply looking for a peaceful countryside stay.

Thank you for your understanding, respect and kindness.

We wish you a very pleasant stay at Hotel: Les Gîtes du Petit Marcel.
